Acceptable Use Policy

How BPS Fiber services may — and may not — be used, so the network stays fast and reliable for everyone.

Last updated: July 30, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes acceptable and prohibited uses of the internet, Wi-Fi, and telephone services provided by BPS Fiber ("BPS"). It applies to every customer and user of our services and is part of our Terms of Service. Our goal is simple: keep the network fast, secure, and reliable for the whole community.

Prohibited uses

You may not use BPS services to:

  • Violate any law or regulation, or infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights;
  • Send spam or unsolicited bulk messages, or engage in phishing or other deceptive practices;
  • Distribute malware, viruses, or other harmful code;
  • Gain or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any network, system, or account;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the network, including through denial-of-service attacks or excessive use that degrades service for others;
  • Post, transmit, or store unlawful, threatening, harassing, or obscene material; or
  • Resell or redistribute the service without our written authorization.

Network management

To keep service reliable for everyone, we use reasonable network-management practices to maintain performance, security, and integrity. BPS internet plans include unlimited data and we do not throttle based on the type of lawful content you access. We may take action against activity that harms the network or other users.

Security & your responsibilities

You are responsible for securing your own devices and for activity on your connection. Keep your Wi-Fi password private, use current security software, and let us know right away if you suspect your account or equipment has been compromised.

Copyright & the DMCA

BPS respects intellectual property rights and responds to valid notices of alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Repeat infringers may have their service suspended or terminated.

Enforcement

Violations of this AUP may result in a warning, temporary suspension, or termination of service, depending on the severity. Where we can, we prefer to reach out and resolve issues directly with our neighbors before taking further action.

We may update this AUP from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date above.
